Bhandardara

Arthur Lake

The major attraction of this immensely beautiful place is boat riding. The charge for boat riding is Rs 200 to 250 per hour. Here, however, one cannot enjoy motor boat riding. As the local people here wanted to protect the lake and surrounding scenic nature from pollution. There are also many hotels and resorts facing the Athur Lake. This is the most popular trekking spot of Bhandardara. Although trekking is bit demanding, but all the hard work is really worth it. As Mount Kalsubai is not only the highest peak of the Sahyadri Hills, but also offers breathtaking views of lush greenery throughout the trek.

Ratangad Fort

Just few kilometers away from Bhandardara is the immensely famous Ratangad Fort. This is another favorite spot among the trekkers. But, this place is as much worth visiting for non- trekkers too.
