ahmednagar

The efficient administration of Ahmednagar city, like in the case of any other city, is mainly dependent on the efficiency of its civic bodies and law & order institutions. While responsibilities of civic administration obviously rest on the shoulders of Ahmednagar Municipal Corporation, the law and order situation is taken care by Ahmednagar police.

Below we’ve provided brief information on these and few other local administrative institutions of Ahmednagar city.

Ahmednagar Municipal Corporation

Ahmednagar Municipal Corporation was instituted in year 2003. Today it has completed full one decade of its service. Giving Ahmednagar city a municipal corporation status was obvious and was actually a long overdue decision. As this city not only boosts a glorious past but is also reservoir of humongous untapped economic potential.

Ahmednagar Municipal Corporation has the same administrative structure and is entrusted with same functions/ duties as all other municipal corporations in the rest of India. Although this new municipal corporation still hasn’t added any special feather in its cap, but is nonetheless today striving very hard in fulfilling the basic civic needs of Ahmednagar people.
